Give drain customers clear quote options
Separate diagnosis, approved service scope and optional follow-up so a drain customer can understand what each quote includes.
Keep findings separate from assumptions
A customer reporting a backup needs a clear explanation of what you know and what still needs inspection. Write the reported problem, the access point and the work you propose. Do not turn a symptom into a confirmed cause before the qualified assessment supports it.
Make each option stand on its own
If you use Good, Better and Best options, each option should describe a complete, honest scope. Show what is included, what is excluded and what documentation the customer receives. An optional camera inspection or follow-up should be presented only when appropriate to the assessed job, not as a universal requirement.
Keep the money readable
Show the price beside the option, any deposit due after approval and the remaining balance. Avoid a separate surcharge copied from another workflow. A customer should not have to calculate which fees apply to which option. Merchant processing costs and customer charges are different decisions.
Record the choice before the work
Keep the selected option and customer approval attached to the job. If access or findings change, document the new scope and obtain approval before adding work. A verbal request needs a clear written record for the office, technician and customer.
Use the completion record
Add the findings and work performed to the invoice or report. Include useful photos only with the right permissions and make sure they show this job. A repeat customer benefits from a reliable history more than a generic sales message. Review quote outcomes on your own records rather than assuming a price package will increase revenue.
