Payment Terms
How money moves in ampdIQ, what it costs, and who is responsible for what.
The shop is the merchant
Each shop connects its own Stripe account through ampdIQ. Customer payments are made directly to the shop's Stripe account, and the shop is the seller and merchant of record. ampdIQ never holds customer funds and never stores full card or bank account numbers. Stripe's own terms also apply to each shop's account.
Customer payment fees
These fees are taken from each payment the shop receives. Customers are not charged an extra card fee by ampdIQ.
- Cards: 3.2% + 30¢ per payment. This includes Stripe's processing fee and ampdIQ's platform fee.
- Bank (ACH) payments: 1%, capped at $20 per payment.
Fees are shown in the app and on each payment record. We'll give at least 30 days' notice before changing them.
When a job counts as paid
A card or bank payment counts only after Stripe confirms it. Bank payments can take a few business days to clear and are shown as pending until then. Deposits reduce the job balance once confirmed. Shops can also mark jobs paid by cash, check or other methods.
Saved cards and autopay
If a shop saves a customer's card or bank account for future payments, the customer agrees on Stripe's secure form, and can ask the shop to remove it anytime. The shop is responsible for charging only what the customer agreed to and sending receipts (ampdIQ sends them automatically).
Refunds and disputes
The shop decides refunds for its own work and issues them from ampdIQ or Stripe. Card fees on refunded payments may not be returned by the card networks. Chargebacks and disputes are handled between the shop, its customer and Stripe; dispute fees are charged to the shop's Stripe account. Customers with a question about a bill should contact the shop.
Payouts
Stripe pays out to the shop's bank account on Stripe's schedule. Stripe may verify identity, hold funds or limit accounts under its own risk rules. ampdIQ doesn't control those decisions.
Your ampdIQ subscription
Subscriptions are billed by card through Stripe: Starter $99, Pro $199 or Max $299 per month, or $990, $1,990 or $2,990 per year. Monthly plans can be cancelled anytime and run to the end of the paid month, with no partial-month refunds. Yearly plans are fully refundable within 30 days of purchase and not after. Plans renew automatically; we email you before a yearly renewal. If a payment fails, we'll email you and retry; accounts with unpaid balances may be paused. Full details are in the Terms of Service.
